The MaxIDentity Suite
AboutThe MaxIDentity Suite is a collection of software applications used to verify and validate identity and government-issued credentials. The MaxIDentity Suite contains a series of ready-to-use applications to read PIV, PIV-I, TWIC, FRAC and CAC smart cards as well as passports, ePassports, Seafarer ID cards and driver’s licenses. The MaxIDentity Suite will be available later this summer following ICE certification. The product can be purchased using the Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) model, so organizations can pay a low monthly fee for the application suite as an alternative to purchasing outright. The suite will be initially available on the MaxID line of multimodal products including the iDL500, iDL520, and iDL750 offerings.
The Suite Support Includes: Smartcards -- The MaxIDentity Suite applications are designed to be able to read government-issued credentials such as PIV, TWIC, CAC or FRAC cards. In most cases, the smartcard contains biographic and biometric information which is compared to the person holding the credential as a method of higher validation.
Passport/ePassport -- The passport application allows the user to read passports using the optical MRZ reader (which is typically an optional attachment to a MaxID multi-modal device) or by using the ePassport RFID capability.
Driver's License – The Driver's License application allows the user to read driver's license using the mag swipe reader (an optional attachment to the iDLMax device) or the built-in barcode reader.
Seafarer's ID (SID) – The Seafarer ID application allows the user to read a Seafarer ID credential using the built-in barcode reader.
The MaxIDentity Suite is expected to be available for purchase and use during July 2010. |
