Commercial
Increasingly, access to corporate and commercial facilities are requiring identity verification and access validation. For instance, ports in the US require a Transportation Workers Identity Credential (TWIC) smart card to enter. This access requirement is due to new regulations imposed by the Maritime Security Act. Power generation facilities, transportation facilities, University and corporate campuses are all moving towards requiring some form of certified credential and/or biometrics to allow the movement in and out of a perimeter. The MaxID product family of handheld mobile computers are able to read both biometrics and company or government issued credentials in the field – whether it be a entrance to an office facility, or a gate to a docking area for moving cargo. The iDL series of hardware products, combined with powerful software from MaxID can provide the perfect solution for those agencies tasked with managing and monitoring movement of people in and out of a controlled perimeter area. |
